How to Make Indian khasta kachori (spicy puffed pastry)

Watch as Manjula prepares for you a delicous spicy puffed pastry, or khasta kachori.

For this recipe you will need:

1 cup all purpose flour(mada or plain flour)

1/2 cup of cold water

2 tablespoons oil

1/4 teaspoon of salt

1/4 cup yellow moong dal

1 teaspoon coarsely grinds funnel seed

1 teaspoon coarsely grinds coriander seed

1 teaspoon red chilly flakes

1/4 teaspoon ginger powder

1/2 teaspoon mango powder

Pinch of asafetida (hing)

1/2 teaspoon salt or adjust to taste

1 tablespoon oil

2 tablespoons water

Oil to deep fry
